Chapter 85: Decisive Battle III - Impossible

Amel\'s gaze shifted from the bloody scene to Rona, his face contorted with a twisted mixture of longing and jealousy. "I\'ve watched you for years, Rona," he hissed, his voice filled with bitterness. "Always talking about Garnt, praising his ideas, his courage. But what about me? What about my loyalty? I\'ve been by your side all this time, and you never even noticed me.

I should be the one that can mate with you, but I noticed that day, when he first arrived you accepted him, despite refusing me all the time."

His words became more and more toxic, as time went on. "You ungrateful bitch! I will pin you down and make you my breeding place,"

Rona\'s anger flared, and she couldn\'t believe what she was hearing. "Amel, this isn\'t the way to win my trust or my affection. This is madness! You idiot! Moga is an animal that would kill you."

She tried to convince him despite all his dangerous words, but he remained next to Moga with an angered look on his face.

Moga, still grinning, revealed how Amel had sought him out after being caught by one of Moga\'s men. "At first, I didn\'t believe him," Moga said, "but then he started bringing new ideas and strategies to my army and he brought me information about how Garnt always acted, just as he promised. Now, it\'s time for him to embrace his newfound power."

Amel\'s eyes gleamed with a dark hunger as he looked at Rona. "It\'s time, Rona," he said with a chilling calmness, stepping closer. "You will be mine, and together, we\'ll make a lot of kids. Garnt, on the other hand, will serve Moga well with his ideas."

Garnt, still clutching his wound, shot a defiant look at Amel. "You won\'t break me, Amel. My ideas are mine, and they can\'t be silenced and Rona refused a looser like you because she knew you\'re an animal that would stab from the back."

[Garnt! Quickly run, you can\'t fight. You have to save your life no matter what.]

\'Shut up, Eva. I won\'t abandon anyone here, even if I die.\'

Garnt answered Eva, who was almost on the verge of crying. She had to question why and how she got attached to this boy after all this time and kept shouting at him to run and save his own life.

"You can still talk?" Amel asked as he looked at Moga and asked him to do his job. "It was fun spying on you and learning how you do things, but while I was doing all this I realized something."

Amel paused for a minute and pointed at his head. "It is the voice that is helping you, you\'re not a big deal at all. My guardian spirit told me that your guardian spirit was just an inferior version. So don\'t worry, even without you, I will bring that future you promised to your village."

"..."

Eva and Garnt both looked at him with confused expressions, but they quickly realized what he had said. Eva felt like she had been hit with the biggest surprise of her life in a long time.

"What...are..you?" Garnt wanted to shout and ask, but he felt his vision blurring.

Ayra quickly decided to retreat, even if it meant leaving her villagers and Rona behind since she valued Garnt more than anything.

"Rona, I\'m sorry, but can you hold them back until I help Garnt to escape?"

Amel and Moga heard what they were talking about, and they didn\'t bother to act quickly since they were confident that, they would be able to easily defeat Ayra and Rona since they could easily use injured Garnt against them.

Rona looked at Garnt, and tears came to her eyes as she started to blame herself for what happened.

"I...will..hold them, run, quickly escape," With those words, Ayra turned to flee, but as she and Rona tried to escape, they were surrounded by Moga\'s menacing henchmen. Most of their fellow villagers lay dead, and the odds of escape seemed impossibly low.

Fear and determination battled in Ayra\'s eyes as she realized the desperate struggle for survival that lay ahead until, they heard and felt the earth trembling.

"What is happening?" Moga shouted to Amel, his voice a mix of confusion and fear, but before they could come to any conclusion, the forest began to shake violently. Trees trembled, and birds took flight in panic. It was a deafening and terrifying moment.

[This is impossible!]

Eva muttered showing that she knew something.

Suddenly, from the heart of the forest, an enormous creature emerged, its massive form hidden in the dense foliage until now. The villagers had never seen anything like it before, for their world was firmly rooted in the village they were living in, and something this big was beyond their wildest imaginations.

The colossal beast, resembling a reptile, surged forth. Its massive feet pounded the earth, causing the ground to quake beneath it. The villagers\' cries and shouts filled the air as they scattered in sheer terror.

"What...is happening?" Garnt asked since he couldn\'t see what was happening and Ayra told him not to talk, but Eva wasn\'t going to stay silent.

[This is impossible! This cannot be happening! Why are the dinosaurs here? They should have gone extinct after that meteor hit them.]

She kept mumbling to herself as if she lost something rather important to her.

Right now, she wasn\'t worried about Garnt. She just wanted answers to her questions, and she wanted to know how dinosaurs managed to live.

[If they are alive that means I did all of this for nothing? Does that mean the meteor that hit them is not here?]

"Eva...what are you talking about?" Garnt asked, but he got no answers.

Moga, in his curiosity and perhaps arrogance, decided to approach the creature, thinking he could somehow control or exploit it. He brandished his stone crusher and lunged at the creature\'s leg, attempting to stop its advance.

However, the dinosaur reacted swiftly and fiercely, its long tail swinging like a battering ram. With a powerful strike, it sent Moga flying several meters away, crashing into a tree. He lay stunned and motionless on the ground.

"Idiot!" Amel shouted frustrated by his ally, who acted upon his selfish wishes.

Amel, on the other hand, had no intention of confronting the behemoth. Fear took hold of him, and he turned to run, seeking cover in the chaotic aftermath of the creature\'s arrival.

"This is our chance," Ayra shouted, so Rona could break out of her shock. "Let\'s run away! Don\'t care about what you see. Run for your life."

Moga\'s men didn\'t even bother to stop them since all of them were pissing their pants looking at the dinosaur that appeared in front of them.

The dinosaur continued its rampage. As it thundered through the mine, its massive feet crushed the wooden walls and structures as if they were made of matchsticks. The wood splintered and shattered, and terrified screams echoed through the chaos.

The behemoth, fueled by primeval fury, didn\'t discriminate. Men who couldn\'t escape in time were met with a swift and merciless fate. The dinosaur\'s colossal feet stomped down with relentless force, crushing unfortunate souls beneath them. The ground quaked with each step, as the dinosaur left destruction in its wake.

In the distance, Ayra and Rona witnessed this horrifying spectacle after running away, their hearts heavy with the weight of the tragedy unfolding before them. The violent reality of the dinosaur\'s assault sent chills down their spines, but it also provided a grim opportunity.

"My people! This is-" Rona noticed that it wasn\'t just Moga\'s men that got killed in this event, rather villagers also had to face the cruel fate of getting crushed.

With Garnt still in Rona\'s arms, they sprinted through the chaos, eyes wide with fear. They knew that this was their only chance to escape the clutches of Moga\'s henchmen, who were too overwhelmed and horrified by the devastation to even notice their desperate flight.

As they plunged into the dense forest, the cries and roars of the unknown beast echoed behind them. They were uncertain of what lay ahead, but they knew one thing for sure: their lives would never be the same after this encounter with the ancient and colossal unknown creature.

"Let\'s take him quickly to Gundo. You should guide our remaining men back to our village, and..." Ayra looked at Maro, whose white fur was wet with Garnt\'s blood, as she whimpered like a little girl worried about Garnt.

"Follow me, Maro. Let\'s go. We are going to run without stopping."
