As soon as Su Mo and Elder Feng neared the group, they saw both sides staring each other down with their swords drawn.

“Lu Gang, Lin Huang, Tang Gu, the three of your strengths are remarkable in your sect but you guys are worth nothing in my eyes!” A tall young man from the Black Flame Tribe provoked him, wearing an expression of disdain.

This young man wore a purple-coloured long robe and his skin shone with a black light. A black flame flickered in his eyes, giving off a fearful vibe.

“That’s right, your True Path Sect has placed last for the Fight Meet the past five times. And this time, you guys will remain at the bottom again!”

“He he! Among the seven superpowers, the True Path Sect is a joke. There has never been a moment of glory for your sect!”

“What a pity that your sect still didn’t send out the top geniuses for this Fight Meet!”

The rest of the Black Flame Tribe members poured out insults, one after another, as they laughed in disgust at the True Path Sect disciples. The True Path Sect was their opponent and they would not let go of any opportunity to ridicule them.

Although the seven superpowers had roughly the same power overall, the disciples of the True Path Sect were becoming lousier and lousier in recent years.

In the few previous Fight Meets, there was only one time that a True Path Sect disciple had placed in the top 10. As for the rest of the meets, no one else had managed to repeat this feat.

“Hmph! Yan Huo, who wouldn’t know how to gloat? You aren’t even worth anything in my eyes either!” Lu Gang coldly scoffed as rage filled his eyes. These Black Flame Tribe members were really too arrogant.

If this wasn’t Sun Moon City, he would definitely teach him a lesson straight away, destroying any thread of arrogance that he might have.

“Yan Huo, I will see at the Fight Meet if you are really as good as you claim!” Lin Huang expressionlessly looked at the Black Flame Tribe young man who was dressed in a purple-coloured long robe.

“That’s right, we will not only defeat you, we will also defeat Yan Lan Tian!” Tang Gu yelled out loud. Yan Lan Tian was a godly talent among the geniuses of the Black Flame Tribe and his powers were rumoured to be much higher than Yan Huo.

“Ha ha ha!”

Yan Huo burst out into laughter and, wearing a look of mockery on his face, he scoffed, “the True Path Sect, with such trash? It would be remarkable if you guys were even able to withstand a few blows of mine. What a joke for you to even mention defeating Brother Lan Tian!”

“What a joke!”

“You guys don’t even know how strong Brother Lan Tian is!”

“What shameless words!”

The group of Black Flame Tribe members burst into laughter as they wore looks of disdain. They didn’t believe that the disciples of the True Path Sect would have the ability to defeat them.

Although Lu Gang, Lin Huang and Tang Gu had a bit of a reputation, they were a far cry from Yan Lan Tian.

Feng Guang walked forward and heaved a small sigh of relief. Thankfully, the two parties were only having a war of words and there was no significant conflict. Otherwise, he would have had a lot of trouble dealing with the aftermath.

“Alright, everyone disperse!” Feng Guang split the crowd as he walked in front of the True Path Sect disciples.

“Elder Feng!” Seeing that Elder Feng had arrived, the group of True Path Sect disciples cupped their hands together.

“Elder Feng, these Black Flame Tribe members are really too oppressive!” Lu Gang loudly accused.

“Too oppressive?”

Yan Huo scoffed and, wearing a look of madness, he said, “so what if we bullied you guys? Who asked you guys to be such trash!”

“You...!” Hearing his words, Lu Gang erupted as the anger in his heart burst out. Clenching both of his fists tightly, he prepared to attack.

“Presumptuous!”

“Really seeking your own death!”

“If you have any ability, then come and fight with us!”

The True Path Sect disciples were at their boiling points. This Yan Huo was seriously too arrogant. How could they tolerate such scornful insults?

“Stop!” Feng Guang immediately yelled out, his voice alluding to his strong powers. Instantly, the crowd felt their minds spin from this force.

“Disciple, you are rash. The Fight Meet has not begun. Everything will be determined by your powers!” Feng Guang glared coldly at Yan Huo. He was also offended by Yan Huo’s words. However, as the True Path Sect Elder, he could not be rash.

“You guys will see for yourselves!” Yan Huo looked at Feng Guang, his expression not changing.

“Alright, everyone disperse!” Feng Guang did not speak further before he ordered the disciples.

The crowd helplessly nodded their heads as they also knew that it wasn’t the right time for them to fight it out. They could only wait for the Fight Meet to let off their steam. Then, the crowd dispersed into the pagoda.

“Yan Huo, we will see if you are still so arrogant when you are squashed under my feet at the Fight Meet!” Lu Gang left with that final sentence as he turned towards the Imperial Pagoda.

Yan Huo coldly laughed but he didn’t seem to take those words into his heart.

Su Mo had watched the entire scene unfold from the beginning till the end. Although he was irritated by Yan Huo’s arrogant behaviour, as well as the mocking of the rest of the Black Flame Tribesmen, he couldn’t be bothered with their conflicts.

Then, Su Mo headed directly into the pagoda.

The large gates of the pagoda were wide open, allowing anyone to enter. Su Mo and Feng Guang walked into the pagoda together.

It was large and spacious within the pagoda and a light mist blew against Su Mo as he felt his spirit being lifted up.

“What a wondrous place!” Su Mo was completely surprised. Within the pagoda, he felt as if his mind had been cleared and his heart had been lifted and these were very beneficial feelings for him to upgrade his Ultimacy and his martial skills.

There were quite a few people in the first floor of the pagoda, close to 2000. Many sat down cross-legged in the middle of the pagoda, closing their eyes as they cultivated.

Su Mo was confused, why would such a wondrous place have so little people!

Logically speaking, this place should be packed to the brim.

However, he quickly found the reason why. A long stone table was placed at the entrance of the first floor where ten strong Sun Moon Tribe martial artists stood.

Everyone who entered the pagoda had to pay a fee.

The fee was based on the time one stayed in the pagoda and every hour had a fee of 1000 Lower Spiritual Crystals.

“How expensive!” Su Mo quietly mumbled to himself. 1000 Lower Spiritual Crystals for one hour. 12 hours in one day would be equivalent to 12000 Lower Spiritual Crystals. With such a hefty price tag, ordinary martial artists would not be able to afford cultivating in the pagoda.

Su Mo stood in line behind a long queue of True Path Sec disciples who were preparing to pay the crystals. Although he did not have any Spiritual Crystals on hand, he had a large array of weapons that he could pay with.

Since every disciple within the group of True Path Sect disciples had different levels of wealth, the timings they stayed and the fees they paid were different.

Lu Gang took out 24,000 Lower Spiritual Crystals hence showing that he was intending to stay at the pagoda for two days.

Feng Guang took out 30,000 Lower Spiritual Crystals, intending to stay for two and a half days at the pagoda.

Su Mo’s turn quickly came.

“How long are you intending to stay?” A young expert of the Sun Moon Tribe asked.

“Two days!” Su Mo replied.

“24,000 Lower Spiritual Crystals!” The young expert lightly said.

“Can I use weapons to pay instead?” Su Mo asked in a deep voice.

“Yes!”

Then, Su Mo retrieved ten over weapons. Among them were Honourable weapons and Imperial weapons that totalled up to 240,000 Lower Spiritual Crystals.

In actual fact, the value of these weapons was much higher than 24,000 Lower Spiritual Crystals. The rates for weapons exchange there were just bad.

However, this did not bother Su Mo as his weapons were all obtained over victories of his opponents. Hence, he did not care about their value.

Lastly, the young expert gave Su Mo a special badge that would ring after 24 hours were up.

“Su Mo, lets go to the upper levels!”

After waiting for Su Mo to pay his fees, Feng Guang called him over and led him up the stairs.

“Are the benefits better upstairs?” Su Mo asked as he climbed up. He realised that Lu Gang, Lin Huang and Tang Gu had all headed up.

“Of course, the higher you go up, the more expensive it is. I can lend you some Spiritual Crystals first if you don’t have them!” Feng Guang casually laughed.

“It is alright, I have weapons!” Su Mo shook his head as he didn’t want to owe anyone favours.

“Your weapons can be exchanged for two times their value here if you sell them outside!” Feng Guang informed him. He was actually hoping that Su Mo would borrow from him so that he could easily ask for favours in the future.

“It doesn’t matter!” Su Mo shook his head, looking as if he couldn’t be bothered.

Very quickly, the two arrived at the second floor of the Imperial Pagoda. The second floor was smaller than the first, but the amount of people here was also lower, approximately half that of the first floor.
